How to take it: Estazolam should be taken by mouth around 15-20 minutes before going to bed. The medicine can be taken with or without food or milk depending on the stomach related problems.

How it works: Estazolam belongs to a group of medication known as benzodiazepines which are hypnotic or sedative drugs. This drug slows down the function of the central nervous system and thereby relieving tension, nervousness and anxiety. This is achieved by blocking the effect of certain chemical which is used in the transmission of nervous impulse and thereby decreasing the excitement level.

Side Effects: Coordination problems, dizziness, sluggish or slow muscle movements and drowsiness.
