How to Take it: Sinequan is available in the form of a capsule, or a liquid to be taken via mouth. This medication is normally taken once or three times every day, either with food or without food. Take this medication as prescribed, around the same time every day.

How it Works: Sinequan belongs to a group of drugs known as tricyclic antidepressants. This medication works to increase the quantity of some natural chemical substances present in the brain that is essential for mental balance.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include nausea, excessive sweating, drowsiness, changes in sex drive, weakness or tiredness, blurred vision, nightmares, frequent urination, dry mouth, difficulty urinating, sensitivity to light, changes in appetite, and constipation. Some serious side effects include jaw and back muscle spasms, irregular heartbeat, slow or difficult speech, yellowing of the skin, shuffling walk, and rash, uncontrollable movements of parts of the body, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.
