How it Works: Rosuvastatin Calcium belongs to a group of drugs known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. This medication works to slow down the cholesterol production in the body.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include constipation, cough, heartburn, joint pain, dizziness, depression, and trouble sleeping. Some serious side effects include muscle pain or tenderness, tingling in fingers, lack of energy, hoarseness, fever, inflammation of the face, lips, hands, or lower legs, chest pain, difficulty breathing or swallowing, yellowing of the skin, itching, nausea, hives, extreme  tiredness, sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising, and flu-like symptoms.
