How to Take it: Pyrazinamide is available in the form of a tablet to be taken via mouth, either with food or without food. This medication is normally taken once every day or two times every week in larger doses. Take this medication as prescribed, around the same time daily.
How it Works: Pyrazinamide belongs to a group of drugs known as antituberculosis. This medication works to kill or prevent the growth of some bacteria that causes tuberculosis.
Some Side Effects: Common side effects include upset stomach and fatigue. Some serious side effects include skin rash, difficult urinating, fever, unusual bleeding or bruising, vomiting, inflammation in the joints, loss of appetite, and dark urine.
