Prednisolone

Commonly Prescribed For: Prednisolone is generally prescribed for reducing irritation, redness, and inflammation of the eyes caused due to chemicals, radiation, or other foreign bodies present in the body. This medication can also be used after eye surgery. It is commonly used with other medications.
How to Take it: Prednisolone is available in the form of eye drops and eye ointment. Recommended dosage of this medication is one or two drops every hour in a day and for every two hours at night, 2 to 4 times every day. Take this medication as prescribed. Continue to take this medication even if you feel good.
How it Works: Prednisolone belongs to a group of drugs known as corticosteroids. This medication works to decrease swelling in many parts of your body.
Some Side Effects: Common side effects include temporary eye burning, and blurred vision. Some serious side effects include eye pain.
