This medication can also be used for lowering premenstrual symptoms like increased appetite, and depression.

How to Take it: Paroxetine Hcl is available in the form of a tablet to be taken once every day, either with food or without food. This medication is normally taken along with food to reduce nausea. Take Paroxetine as prescribed.

How it Works: Paroxetine Hcl belongs to a group of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. This medication works to restore the normal balance of some substances present in the brain, such as serotonin. It may also reduce anxiety, persistent thoughts, and unwanted urges.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include nausea, headache, drowsiness, yawning, dizziness, sweating, and difficulty falling asleep, dry mouth, loss of appetite, and tiredness. Some serious side effects include bloody or tarry tools, change in the quantity of urine, bloody vomit, seizures, easy bruising or bleeding, muscle weakness or spasms, fainting, diarrhea, hallucinations, fast or irregular heartbeat, unusual restlessness, severe nausea, loss of coordination, and twitchy muscles.
