Norfloxacin
Other Names: Noroxin.
Commonly Prescribed For: Norfloxacin is normally prescribed for treating some types of infections of urinary tract and prostate.
How to Take it: Norfloxacin comes in the form of tablets taken orally. It is usually taken two times a day for a period of 28 days. It is advisable to take Norfloxacin at the same time each day with a regular interval of 12 hours. Take Norfloxacin an hour prior to taking meals or two hours after meals. Swallow the tablets along with water.
How it Works: Norfloxacin belongs to a group of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones which kill the infections caused by the bacteria.
Some Side Effects: Norfloxacin may cause nausea, weakness, diarrhea, headache and stomach. Adversarial side effects include rash, tingling in the arms, hives, restlessness, hoarseness, anxiety, loss of consciousness, confusion, and swelling of the face, unusual bruising, hallucinations, pale skin, and difficulty in breathing, joint pain and fainting.
