Loxitane

Commonly Prescribed For: Loxitane is an antipsychotic medication, normally prescribed for treating symptoms of several mental conditions. It blocks the chemicals in the brain, which are involved with nerve sensitivity. Loxitane can be used to improve concentration and self control. It is commonly used with other medications.
How to Take it: Take Loxitane along with food or milk to treat stomach upset. Dilute the liquid concentrate with four ounces of water or carbonated beverage. This medication may lose its effectiveness if diluted with coffee or tea. Take Loxitane as prescribed.
How it Works: Loxitane changes the actions of chemicals present in the brain to improve self control.
Some Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, blurred vision, restlessness, stomach upset, dizziness, and sleep disturbances, loss of appetite, dry mouth and headache. Serious side effects include chest pain, involuntary movements, rapid heart rate, rash, fast breathing and tremors.
