How to Take it: Loxapine Hydrochloride is available in the form of a capsule to be taken via mouth. This medication is normally taken 2 to 5 times every day. Take Loxapine Hydrochloride as prescribed around the same time daily.

How it Works: Loxapine Hydrochloride belongs to a class of medications known as conventional antipsychotic. It reduces the anomalous excitement in the brain.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, missed menstrual periods, dizziness, breast enlargement, faintness, breast milk production, weakness, restlessness, blurred vision, numbness, dry mouth, difficulty sleeping, shuffling walk, increased saliva, blank facial expression, nausea, drooping eyelids, vomiting, flushing, difficulty urinating, hair loss, excessive thirst, agitation and slurred speech. Some serious side effects include fever, decreased vision, muscle stiffness, seizures, confusion, uncontrollable jaw movements, irregular heartbeat, worm-like tongue movements, sweating, difficulty breathing and neck cramps.
