Commonly Prescribed For: It is an antispasmodic medication, normally prescribed for treating painful muscle contractions, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcer disease, pancreatitis, stomach, urinary tract disorders and colic. The drying effect of Levbid makes is useful to dry excess secretion and decreases saliva production. Levsin is combined with morphine to treat kidney stone. It is also used to for treating peptic ulcer.
How to Take it: Levbid is available in the form of regular tablets, sustained-release capsules, liquid drops, as a extended-release tablets and an injectable form. Levbid tablets be chewed or swallowed completely. Do not crush the extended-release tablets. You can take Levbid with or without water.
How it Works: It is a class of anticholinergic agent. It works in such a manner by reducing the motion of muscles in the bladder, stomach and intestine and also decreases stomach acid production.
Some Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, increased sensitivity to light, lightheadedness, and difficulty urinating, headache, constipation, dizziness, dry mouth and blurred vision, Serious side effects include diarrhea, irregular heartbeat, and skin rash.
