How to Take it: Flagyl comes in capsules, short-acting tablets, injections and long-acting tablets. The capsules and tablets should be taken on an empty stomach and shouldn’t be crushed or of chewed. The injections are usually applied by nurses and doctors.
How it Works: Flagyl is an antibacterial and antiprotozoal. It works by entering the bacterial cell and destroying the bacteria.
Some Side Effects: Some of the side effects due to Flagyl include tenderness, swelling, warmth, pain, irritation and redness. Studies on animals have shown Flagyl to cause cancer.
