Commonly Prescribed for: Doxycycline is an antibiotic used for treating severe acne, prostatitis, sinusitis, syphilis, chlamydia, pelvic inflammatory disease, rosacea and in Malaria patients.
How to take it: Take Doxycycline with a glass of water. You should avoid taking Doxycycline with dairy products since they make it harder for the body to absorb this medicine. Don’t stop the prescribed treatment even if you are feeling better.
How it works: Doxycycline is an antibiotic, it prevents the growth of bacteria in the body. Doxycycline is also known for killing parasites.
Side effects: Doxycycline may cause headaches, vomiting, nausea and mild diarrhea. If you feel any allergic reation to Doxycycline stop the treatment immediately and call your doctor.
