Cycrin
Other Names: Medroxyprogesterone.
Commonly Prescribed For: Cycrin is generally prescribed to treat secondary amenorrhea, unusual bleeding from the uterus caused due to hormonal imbalance. This medication can also be used for preventing endometrial hyperplasia in post menopausal women. Co-trimoxazole injection can be used to treat endometrial or renal cancer.
How to Take it: Cycrin is available in the form of tablets to be take via mouth. The usual dose of Co-trimoxazole tablets ranges from 5 or 10mg every day. This medication is taken for five to ten days to treat uterine bleeding. Take Co-trimoxazole as prescribed, around the same time daily.
How it Works: Cycrin belongs to a group of drugs known as progestins. This medication works to stop the growth of uterus lining by making the uterus to generate certain hormones.
Some Side Effects: Common side effects include breast tenderness, jaundice, leakage of water form nipples, insomnia, hives, fever, acne, nausea, hair growth, increased or decreased weight, hair loss, changes in menstrual flow, and spotting of blood in the vagina.
