How to Take it: Clomipramine Hydrochloride is available in the form of a capsule to be taken via mouth. This medication is generally taken 3 times every day along with meals. Take Clomipramine Hydrochloride as prescribed.

How it Works: Clomipramine Hydrochloride belongs to a group of drugs known as tricyclic antidepressants. This medication works to increase the quantity of serotonin (a substance present in the brain, essential to maintain mental balance).

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, change in appetite, dry mouth, stuffy nose, nausea, headache, vomiting, decreased memory or concentration, diarrhea, decreased sexual ability, and constipation. Some serious side effects include seizures, sore throat, pounding heartbeat, unusual tiredness or weakness, loss of bladder control, severe muscle stiffness, difficulty urinating, difficulty breathing, hallucinations, and shakiness.
