Some of the infections include pneumonia, bronchitis, and several infections associated with ears, skin and throat. It is used in preventing a type of infection called Mycobacterium avium complex. Quite often it is combined with other medications in order to prevent the growth of a bacteria called H. pylori.
How to Take it: Clarithromycin is available in tablets, extended release tablets and liquid. The extended release tablet is to be taken orally with food or without food for every twelve hours for an extension of 2 weeks. Shake Clarithromycin liquid well prior to drinking it. Adhere strictly to the prescriptions of your physician. It is recommended not to chew or crush the tablets.
