How to Take it: Capoten is available in the form of a tablet to be taken via mouth. This medication is generally taken 2 or 3 times every day, an hour or two hours after taking meals on an empty stomach. Take Capoten as prescribed, even if you feel good.
How it Works: It works be decreasing the some chemicals, which are responsible for tightening the blood vessels, so that blood can flow more smoothly. This lets the heart to pump blood more efficiently.
Some Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness or lightheadedness, excessive tiredness, decreased ability to taste, fast heartbeat, cough, unusual bruising, sore throat, and mouth sores. Some serious side effects include chest pain, rash, inflammation of the face, tongue, or legs, fainting and difficulty breathing.
