Commonly Prescribed For: Caduet can be used alone or combined with other medications for treating high blood pressure. This medication can also be used fore treating chest pain (angina).

How to Take it: Caduet is available in the form of a tablet to be taken via mouth. This medication is generally taken once every day. Take Caduet as prescribed, around the same time daily.

How it Works: Caduet belongs to a group of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It relaxes the blood vessels so that the heart doesn’t require pumping very hard. This reduces the blood pressure. Caduet increases supply of blood to your heart for treating chest pain.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include inflammation of the hands, or lower legs, feeling of warmth, headache, excessive tiredness, upset stomach, drowsiness, and dizziness or lightheadedness. Some serious side effects include more frequent chest pain, fainting and irregular heartbeat.
