Brethine

Other Names: Terbutaline, Bricanyl

Commonly Prescribed for: Brethine is used to treat bronchospasm associated with lung diseases such as asthma, bronchitis and emphysema.

How to Take It: Brethine is orally taken. It should be taken accordingly to your doctor prescription, no more and no less. Consult with your doctor before taking one if you have heart disease or high blood pressure, epilepsy or another seizure disorder, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and liver or kidney disease. You may not be able to take Brethine or going to need a dosage adjustment if you have one of these conditions. While in a Brethine medication, try to avoid conditions that may worsen your respiratory condition such as exercising in cold, dry air, smoking, breathing in dust and exposure to allergens such as pet fur.

How It Works: Brethine is a bronchodilator. It relaxes muscles in the airways to make breathing more easy.  It prevents your muscles  from tightening and stiffening and allowing for maximum optimization for your airways.

Some Side Effects: Taking Brethine may cause you such side effects: headache, dizziness, insomnia, tremor, sweating, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea and dry mouth. Call your doctor immediately if you are experiencing any of these: an allergic reaction, or chest pain or irregular heartbeats.
