Commonly Prescribed For: Antivert is an anticholinergic drug, normally prescribed for treating and preventing nausea, vomiting and dizziness due to sickness. Antivert is commonly used with other medications. .

How to Take it: Antivert is available in the form a capsule, a chewable tablet and as a regular tablet to be taken via mouth. Antivert is taken an hour prior to travel for treating motion sickness. Chew and crush the chewable tablet and swallow the tablet entirely. Take Antivert as prescribed.

How it works: It blocks a chemical messenger present in the brain that helps to decrease or stop vomiting.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness or fatigue, and dry mouth. Some serious side effects include blurred vision, rash, inflammation of the face or tongue, hives and difficulty breathing.
