Aerolate

Commonly Prescribed For: Aerolate is a Xanthine bronchodilator, normally prescribed for treating and preventing wheezing due to ongoing lung disease. This medication can also be used for treating asthma, emphysema and shortness of breath.

How to Take it: Take Aerolate medication along with water. You may take Aerolate either with food or without food, around the same time daily. The extended-release tablet should not be chewed or crushed. Take Aerolate as prescribed.

How it Works: Aerolate works by improving the flow of air by relaxing the muscles. It improves breathing and hence reduces the response of lungs to irritants. It is said to stimulate the heart muscles.

Some Side Effects: Common side effects include mild nausea, dizziness, and loss of appetite, lightheadedness, weight loss, headache, restlessness and insomnia. Some serious side effects include hives, difficulty breathing, seizures, urinating more than usual, vomiting, tremors, jittery feeling, ongoing fever and uneven heart rate.
