How to Take it: Abacavir Sulfate comes in both tablets and oral solutions taken by mouth. In HIV patients it is a daily treatment together with other drugs prescribed by your doctor.
How it works: Abacavir Sulfate blocks the reproduction of the HIV. It isn’t a cure for HIV it simply helps the body keeping the Virus from undermining the immune system.
Some Side Effects: Abacavir Sulfate may cause diarrhea, fatigue, fever, headache, mouth ulcers, weakness, nausea, tiredness and vomiting.
