Having constipation means to have a common digestive problem where it may be hard to have bowel movements, or the bowel movements are infrequent. Also, the stools can be hard which makes it difficult for them to pass through, meaning people have to strain to get them out.
Constipation can be prevented by following some of these tips:
- Don’t resist having a bowel movement when you get the urge
- Trying to set aside a fixed time each day for a bowel movement
- Eating more fiber
- Drinking plenty of fluids
- Not taking laxatives too often
- Exercising more frequently
- Limiting the intake of foods high in sugars and fat
To find out the causes of constipation, one must first understand how stools are formed. As food makes its way through the digestive tract, the body extracts water and nutrients from it. This is the process that forms stools, and these are then funneled through the intestines by muscle contractions. This process could be affected by a number of issues (including those listed above) that can cause the stools to pass more slowly through the intestines, causing constipation.

Obesity occurs when excess weight causes health problems. People with obesity usually have a BMI or Body Mass Index greater than 30. Weight gain is usually caused when energy (calorie) intake is more than calories burnt. There are many risks for people with obesity as it can contribute to an increase in a variety of diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. Some people are more prone to weight gain than others and this can be down to genes, however, most people find that obesity is a factor of lifestyle and eating behaviors.
Many people eat when they are depressed, lonely, anxious, stressed or just when they are bored. Obesity is also linked to a lack of physical exercise. In today’s day there seems to be more and more examples of children showing signs of obesity at an alarmingly young age. Schools, parents and government organizations seem to be recognizing the need to encourage children to eat more healthily and to support exercise programs.

There is a higher amount of processed, cheaper foods available on the market today which are higher in sugar, salt, and fat which contributes to the increase in obesity levels among young people. Hair loss is a problem that many people suffer from. There are different types of hair loss affecting both men and women. Whoever suffers from it, whether male or female, hair loss can lead to many issues with self-esteem and confidence. The main types of hair loss suffered by individuals are detailed below.
Male-pattern baldness is the commonest form of hair loss in human beings and is called androgenic alopecia. Although the term androgenic loosely means “of man genus”, the condition can actually affect women as well as men.

Hair Loss Patterns
The next type of hair loss is alopecia areata and this form involves bold patches that tend to come and go sporadically. One in every hundred people is affected by this, with the main group being young people and teenagers. One in every five cases can be attributed to hereditary reasons.
A problem with the immune system is thought to be the main contributor to alopecia areata and there is no effective treatment available for the condition. In most of the cases though, the hair will grow back within a year. One in every five persons affected with the condition go on to develop hair loss in a more severe form, such as alopecia totalis (no hair on the scalp) or alopecia universalis (lack of hair on the body as well as scalp).
Telogen effluvium is another form of alopecia hair loss which is quite common, and the condition can be described as extensive thinning of the hair rather than having specific bald patches. The hair loss in this condition is usually down to stress or a reaction to medication.
